We are down to the final 2 players in Montreal on Sunday and the final pits perhaps the greatest player of all time up against an up and coming star.
Alexander Zverev v Roger Federer
Alexander Zverev the 4th seed reached his 2nd ATP World Tour Masters 1000 Final of the year when he defeated 18 year old Denis Shapovalov in the semi-final in straight sets, 6-4 and 7-5. He is the youngest finalist in this event since 2007 when Novak Djokovic won the title. Zverev had seen off South African Kevin Anderson in straight sets in the quarters.
His opponent in the final will be 2nd seed Roger Federer who advanced to the last 2 when he defeated Robin Haase in two sets, 6-3 and 7-6 (5). Federer who only dropped 9 points on serve and hit 28 winners which included 9 aces will be going for a 3rd Canadian Masters 1000 title, 27th Masters 1000 title and 94th Tour-level title. Federer has now won 16 consecutive matches and will be playing in his 6th final this season.
In the Head-to-Head, Federer leads Zverev 2-1

Suggested Bet: Zverev win at 24/10
I think this final will be closer than the betting suggests and it brings together perhaps the 2 form players in men’s tennis at the moment. Federer has been superb and is a worthy favourite make no mistake, but I am going for the youngster to win this.
