The Wallabies have opened their campaign with two defeats both to New Zealand.  They were under-cooked in their opener in Sydney and trailed 40-6 at the break before a second-half fight back saw them go down by 20 points.  They then played their part in an incredible match in Dunedin, two weeks ago, where the lead changed hands on numerous occasions only for the All Blacks to snatch victory by 6 points right at the death.

South Africa will be looking for their 6th successive test victory having won a 3 match home series against France 3-0 and beaten Argentina in the Rugby Championships in the first two rounds.  They opened with a comfortable 22 point victory over Argentina in Port Elizabeth and then 2 weeks ago followed that up with an 18 point win in Salta.  South Africa have scored at least 4 tries in all 5 of their test wins this season.

Australia have won the last 3 meetings between the sides in Australia with the biggest winning margin being 6 points.  In the last 3 meetings between the sides in Perth, Australia have won 2 and South Africa 1 and the biggest winning margin has been 8 points.

Australia 8/10

Draw 20/1

South Africa 11/10

Australia -1.5 at 9/10

South Africa +1.5 at 9/10

Suggested bet:  Winning margin, Australia under 12.5 points at 18/10

Australia impressed me against New Zealand and I think they can beat a Springbok side that may not be quite as good as their recent results suggest.  Matches between these sides in Australia are traditionally close and I am looking for the Wallabies to win but not by much.
