The All Blacks started as strong favourites to win the Rugby Championship and after their opening 2 rounds they have shortened into an unbackable 1/33 for the title – click here for outright betting. Despite stepping off the gas in the second half of their opening encounter against Australia in Sydney they trotted up to win by 20 points but then in the return fixture in Dunedin they started 28 point favourites only to be pushed all the way to the wire by the Wallabies, eventually winning 35-29 thanks to a try in the dying minutes.
They face an Argentina team that has been well beaten in both of its opening games against South Africa, going down by 22 points in Port Elizabeth and then by 18 points in Argentina two weeks ago.
New Zealand have a 100% record against Argentina in New Zealand and last season the sides met at the Waikato stadium with New Zealand running out 35 point victors after a slow start.
New Zealand 1/50
New Zealand -30.5 at 9/10
Argentina +30.5 at 9/10
Suggested bet: Half-time result, New Zealand -15.5 points at 9/10.
I haven’t been impressed by this Argentina side and while New Zealand haven’t been at their best either I do expect them to come out firing and to put this game to bed early.
