PSL, Wednesday 20th September, Betting Preview

There are 2 live PSL matches on Wednesday night and we take a look at each of them and suggest a bet in both games.

Maritzburg United v Kaizer Chiefs click here to bet

Maritzburg have made a strong start to the season and at the time of writing they sit 2nd on the log on 8 points with 2 wins and 2 draws.  They played to a 0-0 draw at home to Pirates on Friday night and their other home match was a 2-0 victory over Ajax.  All 4 Maritzburg PSL matches have had 2 goals or less in them.

Chiefs drew 1-1 at home to Wits on the weekend and the result leaves them in 8th place on the log on 5 points.  They have taken 4 out of a possible 6 points on the road with a victory over Cape Town City their highlight. 3 out of the 4 Chiefs games have had less than 2.5 goals in them.

Chiefs did the double over Maritzburg last season winning this fixture 2-1 and beating them 2-0 at home.

Maritzburg United 18/10

Draw 2/1

Kaizer Chiefs 15/10

Suggested Bet:  Draw at 2/1

Maritzburg are a difficult team to beat at home and I am not yet convinced that Chiefs have turned the corner this season. I think this will be as close as the betting suggests and am betting on the points being shared.

Amazulu v Wits – click here to bet

Amazulu are 13th on the table at the time of writing with one win, a draw and two defeats.  They were beaten 4-1 by Golden Arrows away on the weekend but have taken 4 points from a possible 6 at home, drawing to Maritzburg and beating Free State Stars.

Defending champions Wits are off to a very slow start and currently sit 14th on the table with 2 draws and 2 losses.  They drew 1-1 with Chiefs away on the weekend and their other away match was a 2-2 draw at Free State Stars.  Both teams have managed to score in 3 of the 4 Wits matches this season.

These sides last met in the 2014/2015 season with Amazulu winning this fixture 3-1.

Amazulu 2/1

Draw 21/10

Wits 14/10

Suggested bet:  Both teams to score, YES, at 23/20.

Amazulu have found the net in both home games and Wits have done likewise in both away matches they have played this season.
