The Royal Bafokeng Stadium plays host to the Cosafa Cup final on Sunday when Zambia clash with Zimbabwe.
Zambia v Zimbabwe
Zambia clinched their place in the final with a 4-2 win over Tanzania on Wednesday. In the first knockout round they beat Botswana 2-1 and Brian Mwila was on target in both those matches whilst Justin Shonga helped himself to a brace against Tanzania.
Zimbabwe came through qualifying with two wins and one draw. They scored 10 goals and didn’t concede in the qualifiers, first beating Mozambique 4-0 before a 0-0 draw with Madagascar and a 6-0 demolition of the Seychelles. Despite the hectic schedule they had enough in the locker to see off Swaziland 2-1 before edging out Lesotho 4-3 in a thrilling semi final with Knox Mutizwa scoring a hat trick.
Both Zambia and their opponents here have won this tournament four times in the past. The most recent head to head in the Cosafa Cup came in 2013 when Zambia came out on top with a 2-0 win.

This will be Zimbabwe’s sixth match in two weeks whilst Zambia have played just two matches and that could well be the decisive factor.
