ATP Italian Open, Final Preview

Tennis fans have a dream final to look forward to in Rome later today as Djokovic and Nadal lock horns for the 54th time,

Novak Djokovic v Rafael Nadal

Top seed Djokovic was pushed hard in his semi-final eventually defeating the unseeded Schwartzman 6-3 in the 3rd. He had also ben pushed to 3 sets in his quarter-final against 7th seed Del Potro but had no problems in easing to the last 8 winning his round of 16 and 32 matches in straight sets.

2nd seed Nadal looks to be approaching his best form as the French Open looms. He beat Tsitsipas 6-3 & 6-4 in his semi-final and given he had lost to that opponent last week it is a sign of how his game is coming on. He had only dropped 6 games in the 3 matches he played to book his spot in the last 4.

The pair have met 53 times with Djokovic leading 28-25 but Nadal has won there last 2 meetings on clay in straight sets.

Djokovic 31/20

Nadal 5/10

Suggested Bet:  Total Games over 22.5 at 17/20

The bookies look to have the match betting about right and I am looking to the total games market for an interest. Nadal is rampant but Djokovic is also in good form and we could get a lengthy final.
