Top seed Novak Djokovic is on course to win the Madrid Open title and standing in his way is an up and coming star from Greece.
Novak Djokovic v Stefanos Tsitsipas
Top seed Novak Djokovic was pushed hard in his semi-final eventually seeing off 5th seed Thiem 7-6 & 7-6. He had a walkover in his quarter-final with 9th seed Cilic and won both his round of 16 and round of 32 matches in straight sets.
8th seed Tsitsipas has now knocked 2 of the top 3 seeds out having beaten 3rd seed Zverev in 3 sets in the last 8 before doing likewise to 2nd seed Nadal in his semi-final. He started well against Nadal winning the 1st set 6-4 but when the clay court master won the 2nd set 6-2 it look all over for the young Greek. He finished strongly though to win the final set 6-3. His round of 16 and 32 matches were both regulation straight sets victories.
This pair have met once and that was in Canada on a hard court in 2019 where Tsitsipas won in a tough 3 sets.

Suggested Bet: Number of sets = 3 at 27/20
Djokovic is the obvious favourite here but Tsitsipas has beaten 2 excellent clay court players and I can see this one going the distance.
