Australia v India Fourth Test Match Preview

Sydney is the venue for the fourth and final test match between Australia and India and the visitors need to avoid defeat to claim a series win.

India won the Boxing Day test at Melbourne by 137 runs to take a 2-1 series lead heading into this final contest. The platform for victory came in the first innings where Pujara top scored with 106 and Kohli made 82 as India posted 443/7 declared.

Jasprit Bumrah then stole the show, taking 6 Australian wickets as the home side were bowled out for 151. India then added 106 more to an already healthy lead and in the final innings Bumrah took 3 more wickets as Australian were bowled out for 261.

Earlier in the series India won a thrilling first test in Adelaide by just 31 runs but Australia fought back in the second contest in Perth to level the series with a 146 run victory.

This was how the teams lined up for the third test and note Rohit Sharma is unavailable for this final match.
