Cleveland Cavaliers v Los Angeles Clippers, NBA Betting Preview

The Cleveland Cavaliers host the Los Angeles Clippers as the NBA action gets underway tonight.

The Cleveland Cavaliers looked like their season was over a few weeks ago, that is until LeBron James returned and steadied the ship. The Cavaliers are unbeaten since his return, winning an incredible 11 games in row. They’ve not only been winning the games, they’ve been blowing their opposition out. The Cavs have won their last 11 games by an average of 12 points and have worked their way up into 4th in the Eastern Conference. If they can keep this kind of form up then a 3rd or even 2nd place finish is on the cards.

The Los Angeles Clippers are currently sitting 5th in the Western Conference and are in the middle of a battle with the Trail Blazers and the Rockets for 3rd. They have had a good season so far and their recent form is impressive. They’ve won 7 of their last 10 matches, the 3 losses they suffered over that period were by 2, 5 and 5 points. Their road form is somewhat average having only won 5 of their last 10 matches. They will be looking to have a strong end to the season but will need to find better form on the road.

The Betting

Cavaliers 5/10, Clippers 15/10

Cavaliers -4.5 8/10, Clippers +4.5 17/20

Over/Under 207.5 8/10

Suggested Bet

The Cavaliers are looking unstoppable at the moment and the 13 game winning streak is hard to ignore. The Cavs beat the Clippers 126:121 in the middle of January and covered the spread in that match. I don’t see the Clippers being able to keep up with the Cavs especially when one looks at their road record. I’m taking the Cleveland Cavaliers to comfortably cover the -4.5.
