Durban Heat v NMB Giants, Mzansi Super League Match 22 Preview

Durban Heat host NMB Giants at Kingsmead in the second of the Mzansi Super League matches taking place on Wednesday

Durban Heat:

Things are getting no better for Durban Heat who remain bottom of the standings with just 1 to show for their efforts so far. They suffered 2 heavy defeats over the weekend, away to Jozi Stars (53 runs) and then Paarl Rocks (9 wickets) and they will need to win all 4 of their remaining matches and hope other results go their way if they are to scrape into the playoffs.

The Heat did beat the Spartans in a home fixture back in Match 6 but that seems a long time ago now and 2 days after that win they crashed to the Giants by 9 wickets in Port Elizabeth.

NMB Giants

The Giants have 4 wins, 2 defeats and 1 no result against their name and they finished the weekend program in second spot, 6 points behind Cape Town Blitz. They do have Jozi Stars on their tail and Stars are in action at the Blitz a day before this game takes place. The Giants crashed to an 81 run defeat at home to the Jozi side in Port Elizabeth on Sunday and given they also have Paarl Rocks chasing them, there is still plenty to do in order to secure a play off spot.

Suggested Bet: Durban Heat to win at 15/20

Form suggests otherwise but Durban Heat have the guns to win this, if only they can bring their A game to this home fixture.
