EFC 46, Betting Overview

The final EFC event of the year takes place at Carnival City on Saturday night.

The action gets going in the early evening with 7 undercard bouts leading up to the 3 main bouts which we will cover in this overview.

Du Plessis (1/4) v Mukulu (5/2)

Du Plessis won the 1st encounter against a raw Mukulu. He is a short priced favourite but the underdog has come on as a fighter and of the Instagram jibes between the pair are anything to go on then this should be a good fight.

Speechly (12/10 v Bright (6/10)

Bright last fought in this competition 5 years ago and he takes on Speechly a regular at these events. The betting suggests this could be a closer affair and I have a leaning towards the underdog Bright who was unbeaten in 27 previous fights.

Buirski (12/10) v Van Staden (6/10)

The main event sees Buirski looking to defend his title against the no 1 challenger Van Staden. It is not often you see the champion priced as the underdog, perhaps it is the dreaded Welterweight curse.
