EFC Africa 32
The action gets going at Carnival City on Thursday 7 August. The 1st fight is scheduled to get going at 16h45 (times subject to change) and the final bout is pencilled in for 20h25. The card is divided into PRELIM BOUTS and MAIN CARD BOUTS and we will take a look at the betting on 2 of the MAIN BOUT fights. SuperSport will be broadcasting the main bouts live.
Henry “Herculeez” Fadipe v Adam “The Prodigy” Speechly
This fight takes place in the Welterweight Division and Fadipe is the reigning champion. His route to the top has been built on the back of some brutal fighting which included putting an opponent out of action for 10 months and a 1st round knockout of Dion Bagattin to take the title.
Speechly, a former champion, is certainly no mug. He has stepped up from the lightweight division where he ran the excellent Costa Ioannou to a 5 round decision and last time out he got the verdict against Martin van Staden. This meeting is a long time coming having originally been postponed due to a Speechly injury and it should be a contrast of styles with Fadipe the more brutal and Speechly arguably the more intelligent fighter.
You can also bet on the manner of victory where Fadibe by submission is a 5/2 favourite
Suggested Bet: Fadipe win at 7/10
He should have too much for the Challenger and I fancy an early finish
Boyd Allen v Barend “BB Gun” Nienaber
This fight takes place in the featherweight division where Allen has been a dominant feature in recent times. He held lightweight contender Don Madge to an excellent draw in Cape Town in June and should be better prepared for this bout.
Nienaber like Allen is undefeated and he rose to prominence when upsetting the more fancied Brendon Katz in a bout for the number 1 spot. He has not put a foot wrong and will rely on his wrestling skills to extend his unbeaten run and take the vacant featherweight title.
Allen 5/10 Nienaber 14/10
Suggested Bet: Nienaber at 14/10
His rise to the top has been quick and he can cause yet another upset and in so doing stop Allen getting the title he has been searching for.
Live Betting and Exotics
World Sports Betting will have priced up on all of the bouts and will also be betting live and providing exotic markets on the last 3 bouts of the evening.
