England and Belgium meet in a Group G clash on Thursday night at the Kaliningrad Stadium and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.
GROUP G UPDATE
With Belgium and England both having won their opening two fixtures this match will decide which team tops the group and England are currently favourites to do that at 13/20 with Belgium at 11/10. Click here for outright Group G betting

England required a late winner to beat Tunisia 2-1 in their opening fixture but they needed no such drama in their second match, hammering Panama 6-1 with Harry Kane grabbing a hat trick and the lead in the Golden Boot race. England started the tournament at 18/1 and their price has halved to 9/1 after their impressive start and on the back of some shaky efforts by some of the other traditional heavyweights – click here for outright betting
Belgium has a perfect record and won both of their opening fixtures by 3 goals, beating Panama 3-0 and then coming out and beating Tunisia 5-2. Belgium have also shortened in the outright markets and having started at 10/1 they are into 7/1.
England and Belgium haven’t met since they played in a friendly International in 2012 with England winning 1-0..
Suggested bet: Harry Kane to score at 21/20
I am battling to split these teams and will settle on a bet in the goal markets where I like Harry Kane to score at a shade over even money. Kane looks in great nick and given the number of penalties in this World Cup to date it is also relevant that he takes the spot kicks for England.
