Title chasing Liverpool and Manchester City are both in action on Sunday and we take a look at their 2 English Premier League games from a betting angle.

Crystal Palace v Manchester City – click here to bet

Palace are set for another season of English Premier League football and they sit 12th on the table with 3 wins and 2 losses in their last 5 games.  They beat Newcastle 1-0 away last time out, but they have battled at home this season with just 4 wins in 16 starts.

Manchester City are 2nd on the table, 2 points behind Liverpool, but having played a game less.  Since the shock defeat to Newcastle United at the end of January they have reeled off 8 successive League victories, 3 of which were on the road.  Earlier in the season City games were almost high scoring affairs, but 4 of their last 5 matches have delivered for under 2.5 goal backers.

Suggested Bet:  Both teams to score, YES, at 19/20

I am not really basing this bet on any stats, but just a feeling that Crystal Palace are going to come hard at Manchester City and that we might get goals at both ends.

Liverpool v Chelseaclick here to bet

While it is hard to imagine Manchester City dropping points, Liverpool have a far tougher task at home to Chelsea.  Liverpool are top of the log as mentioned, 2 points ahead of City, but having played a game more and Chelsea are 3rd at the time of writing having won their last 3 matches in a row.  Liverpool’s last home game was a last gasp 2-1 win over Tottenham and their home form has been superb this season with 14 wins and 2 draws.

Chelsea have won 2 of their last 3 away games, but those victories came against Cardiff and Fulham last and second last on the table.  Between those 2 matches they lost 2-0 away at Everton and prior to that they lost to City and Bournemouth on the road.

These sides drew 1-1 at Chelsea earlier in the season and this fixture has been drawn 1-1 and the last 3 head-to-heads at Anfield have been drawn 1-1 as well.

Suggested Bet:  Handicap, Liverpool (-1), the draw at 27/10

Liverpool haven’t been at their best, but they have been getting results and I think we could see another tight game here and need Liverpool to win by exactly 1 game to collect my bet.
