EPL Preview, Sunday 21 April

We take a look at the 3 English Premier League matches taking place on Sunday from a betting angle.

Everton v Manchester United – click here to bet

Everton are 9th on the table, but saw a 3 match winning run come to an end when they were stunned 2-0 away at relegated Fulham last time out.  They have won their last 2 home games though against Arsenal and Chelsea without conceding a goal.

United are 6th on the table and will be disappointed to have been dumped out of the Champions League in midweek.  They won their last game 2-1 at home to West Ham, but have lost their last 2 on the road to Wolves and Arsenal.

Suggested Bet:  Everton win at 43/20

Everton don’t have a great record against United, but I just feel that the Red Devils are vulnerable and can be beaten here.

Arsenal v Crystal Palaceclick here to bet

Arsenal are 4th on the log with 3 wins in their last 4 and last time out they beat Watford 1-0 on the road.  Their home form has been excellent this season and they have only lost once and they have won 9 of their last 10 home matches.

Crystal Palace are 13th on the table and pretty much assured of Premier League football next season.  They were beaten 3-1 at home by Manchester City last time out, but surprisingly they have taken most of their points on the road this season winning 7 from 17 matches.

Suggested Bet:  Arsenal (-1), the draw at 9/10

Arsenal have won this fixture comfortably in the last couple of years, but having been in Europe on Thursday they may be a bit weary and I am backing them to win by exactly a goal.

Cardiff v Liverpoolclick here to bet

Cardiff got a much needed victory last time out when they beat Brighton 2-0 away and the game has given them a sniff of survival although they still fill the final relegation spot.  Cardiff have lost 3 of their last 4 home games, but have taken 20 of their 31 points at home this season.

Liverpool go into the weekend top of the table, 2 points ahead of City, but having played a game more.  They have won their last 2 away matches at Southampton and Fulham, but prior to that had 3 successive away draws.

Suggested Bet:  Goals away team, 3 or more at 9/10

Liverpool were excellent in midweek against Porto in the Champions League and I am expecting them to keep the pressure on Manchester City with a comfortable win here.
