EPL Preview, Tuesday 4 December

There are 4 live English Premier League matches taking place on Tuesday and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.

Bournemouth v Huddersfieldclick here to bet

Bournemouth have slipped to 9th on the table having lost 4 matches in succession including getting beaten 3-1 by Manchester City away on the weekend.  They failed to win any of their last 3 home matches.  Their opponents, Huddersfield, sit 17th on the table but were beaten 2-1 at home by Brighton on the weekend and Huddersfield have won just 1 of 6 matches on the road but that was in their last away start against Wolves.

Bournemouth 15/20

Draw 28/10

Huddersfield 79/20

Suggested bet:  Over 2.5 goals at 17/20.

There is a history of goals between these sides and this bet would have also arrived in Bournemouth’s last 5 matches.

Brighton v Crystal Palaceclick here to bet

Brighton have climbed to 11th on the table following a victory on the road at Huddersfield on the weekend and they have taken 7 points from a possible 9 in their last 3 home matches.  Crystal Palace broke an 8 match winless run when they beat Burnley 2-0 at home on the weekend and they are now 14th on the table, 6 points behind Brighton.  Palace have only taken 1 point from the last 12 they have played for on the road and Crystal Palace away matches are averaging just 2.1 goals each.

Brighton 37/20

Draw 2/1

Crystal Palace 18/10

Suggested bet:  The draw 2/1.

This is likely to be a tight, low scoring affair and as I don’t have a firm fancy either way as far as the 90 minute result goes, I am going to go with the draw.

West Ham United v Cardiffclick here to bet

West Ham turned in one of their better performances of the season when they beat Newcastle 3-0 away on the weekend and they are up to 13th on the table on 15 points from their 14 matches.  They have only won 2 out of 7 home games and 4 of 7 West Ham home games have delivered for over 2.5 goals backers.

Their opponents, Cardiff, are 16th on the table having won 2 of their last 3 games including a 2-1 come from behind win at home to Wolves on the weekend.  They have battled on the road though and have only taken 1 point from a possible 18 and Cardiff have only scored 2 goals in their 6 away matches.

West Ham United 7/10

Draw 28/10

Cardiff 4/1

Suggested bet:  West Ham win at 7/10.

West Ham are struggling for consistency but I think they can chalk up another win against a Cardiff side that really battles away from home.

Watford v Manchester City click here to bet

Watford have only taken 1 point from the last 12 they have played for and they were beaten 2-0 away at Leicester on the weekend while in their previous home game they went down 3-0 to Liverpool.  They are currently 10th on the table with 20 points from their 14 matches.

Manchester City are still 2 points clear at the top of the League and remain undefeated with only 4 points dropped all season.  They have won their last 6 games including beating Bournemouth 3-1 at home on the weekend but all of the points that they have dropped this season have come on the road and somewhat surprisingly, City away games averaged just 2.3 goals each.

Watford 8/1

Draw 19/4

Manchester City 3/10

Suggested bet:  Both teams to score, YES, at 15/20.

Watford are very inconsistent and on their day can trouble most of the big teams and I think we will see goals at both ends here.
