Fiji v Uruguay, Rugby World Cup Betting Preview

Fiji play their final Rugby World Cup match against Uruguay at Milton Keynes on Tuesday.

Fiji were always going to struggle in a group with Australia, Wales and England in it and although they lost all 3 matches they were quite impressive at time and actually beat all 3 of the handicaps set by the bookmakers. They will be disappointed that they never caused an upset especially last time out against Wales where they were right in the game heading into the final quarter. Things should get easier now though and Uruguay is a side they should beat. In key team news Nemani Nadolo is back from suspension for Fiji.

Uruguay were always unlikely to get a victory in a group with so many big guns and this match is their best chance of victory yet they will start 37 point underdogs. They lost to Wales by 45 and Australia by 62 points and still have a match against England to come on the weekend. They have yet to score a try in the tournament.

Head to Head:

The sides have never met.

Fiji -37.5 at 9/10

Uruguay +37.5 at 9/10

Suggested Bet: Uruguay +37.5 at 9/10

Fiji should win this with room to spare but the Uruguayans have also beaten both handicaps to date despite conceding loads of tries and they could give Fiji some early problems. There are possibilities of showers which would help Uruguay and they should also be the fresher of the sides with Fiji having been in action against Wales 5 days prior. I think that Uruguay can stay within the handicap.
