Formula 1, Chinese Grand Prix, Race Preview

The Shanghai International Circuit plays host to the Chinese Grand Prix this weekend and we look at the race and suggest a bet.

The Bahrain Grand Prix held a fortnight ago saw Lewis Hamilton top the podium followed by teammate Valtteri Bottas with 3rd spot going to Charles Leclerc who had started in pole position and also had the fastest lap.

Bottas leads the Championship standings on 44 points just 1 point ahead of his fellow Mercedes driver Hamilton. Hamilton remains the 19/20 favourite for the title with Vettel 3/1 and Leclerc 33/10.

Championship Standings

Valtteri Bottas 44

Prices correct at time of posting but will change in the lead up to the race and there are a number of other markets on offer.

Daniel Ricciardo took the win at the 2018 Chinese Grand Prix, runner-up was Bottas and Räikkönen completed the podium.  Eventual champion Lewis Hamilton had to settle for 4th spot.

Suggested Bet: Fastest Lap – Vettel at 5/2

Vettel will be looking to bounce back after being outgunned by his young teammate Leclerc last time out. He has shown a liking for this track and qualified fastest last year and I am expecting him to hold nothing back as he chases a victory.
