Formula 1 moves this weekend to the street circuit of Monaco and we look at the race from a betting perspective.
The Spanish Grand Prix saw Mercedes achieve their 5th consecutive one-two finish when Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas finished in top and runner-up spots respectively. Completing the podium was Max Verstappen. This was Hamilton’s 3rd straight victory in Spain.
The lead in the Drivers’ Championship Standings once again changes between the teammates as Hamilton now moves 7 points ahead of Bottas who had entered the race 1 point in front of Hamilton. Hamilton is a short priced favourite at 9/20 to defend his title. Mercedes lead in the Constructors Championship Standings has jumped to 96 over their closest rivals Ferrari.

Prices correct at time of posting but will change in the lead up to the race and there are a number of other markets on offer.
Ricciardo topped the podium in 2018 after completing the race with only 6 of his 8 gears functioning. Next over the line was Vettel with Hamilton completing the trio. The last 3 years has seen 3 different winners in 3 different vehicles.
Suggested Bet: Max Verstappen 37/10
This is a track where Mercedes have struggled in recent years and I feel it could be worth taking them on. He is very quick and if he can avoid the misfortunes of last years qualifying and start on the front row he will be a big runner on a track where overtaking is tough.
