The Marina Bay Street Circuit plays host to this week’s Singapore Grand Prix and we look at the race from a betting angle.
In the Italian Grand Prix two weeks ago Lewis Hamilton took the chequered flag in first spot after surviving an opening lap clash with title rival Sebastian Vettel when Vettel’s right front tyre made contact with the side of Hamilton’s Mercedes. Hamilton then passed Kimi Räikkönen with 9 laps to go and Räikkönen took runner-up spot with Hamilton’s teammate, Valtteri Bottas completing the podium when he moved from 4th to 3rd after Max Verstappen, who had originally finished 3rd , received a 5 second penalty for causing a collision with Bottas. Vettel who had climbed back through the pack ended in 4th position.
Hamilton now leads Vettel by 30 points in the Drivers’ Championship Standings and he has shortened from 15/20 to 11/20 with Vettel 14/10 from 19/20.

2017 saw the Singapore GP become the first night time GP to be run under wet conditions in the history of Formula 1. A collision between Vettel, Verstappen and Räikkönen saw Hamilton take the lead on the first lap and he went on to win the race. Daniel Ricciardo finished second with Valtteri Bottas completing the podium.

Vettel looks the fastest at the moment and he has won here twice in 5 years but Hamilton has done likewise and at almost 3 times the price I am happy to back the Championship leader especially with the World Sports Betting “Money Back” Promo for 2nd place – see details on the banner below.
