We are into the second half of IPL 2019 and Tuesday’s match in Mohali sees Kings XI Punjab host Rajasthan Royals in Match 32.
Kings XI Punjab
The Kings XI won 3 of their first 4 matches in the tournament but the next 4 delivered just the 1 win alongside 3 defeats and they are in mid table. They won their first 3 home games in Mohali but at the weekend they became the first team to lose to the Royal Challengers Bangalore this season. Chris Gayle’s unbeaten 99 on this ground saw KXP post 173/4 batting first but RCB got up with 4 balls to spare for an 8 wicket win.
Earlier results in Mohali saw KXP beat the Sunrisers by 6 wickets, Mumbai by 8 wickets and Delhi by 14 runs.
The Royals won their weekend fixture away to Mumbai by 4 wickets. Tasked with chasing 188 for victory they made a solid start with Rahane (37) and Jos Buttler putting on 60 for the first stick. Buttler went on to make 89 and by the time he departed the Royals had the chase under control. They did lose late wickets but still had 4 in tact when they got home with 3 balls to spare.
That was only the second win this season for the Royals who have lost 5 of their 7 outings. In their earlier away fixtures they went down to the Sunrisers by 5 wickets and the Super Kings by 8 runs.

There could be some needle in this game given the nature of Buttler’s run out in the first meeting. I can see Buttler being fired up and I fancy his chances of hitting 2 or more 6’s.
Bet: Batsman Total Match Sixes, Buttler over 1.5 at 11/10
