Manchester City v Watford, FA Cup Final Preview

Manchester City will be looking to add the FA Cup to their EPL title they secured last weekend when they meet Watford at Wembley on Saturday.  We take a look at the game from a betting angle.

City began the FA campaign with comfortable victories over Rotherham and Burnley and they then beat Newport 4/1 away.  Their quarter-final was a 3/2 win at Swansea and in the semi-finals they edged Brighton 1-0.

Watford required extra time to beat Wolves in their semi-final having come from 2 goals down to level the match.  They had beaten Crystal Palace 2-1 in their quarter-final and won all their previous 3 matches on the road without conceding a goal. Watford ended the League campaign poorly and having been contending for 7th position at one point, ended up finishing 11th.

Manchester City did the double over Watford this season beating them 3-1 at home and 2-1 on the road and the last 5 head-to-heads between the teams had delivered for over 2.5 goal backers with 4 goals or more in 4 out of 5 of those matches.

Manchester City 2/9

Draw 6/1

Watford 10/1

Suggested Bet:  Over 3.5 goals at 12/10

Watford will be well aware that they have very little chance of keeping Manchester City out and for that reason I expect them to adopt quite an attacking approach.  We could well see goals at both ends and if things do open up City are likely to punish Watford and I like the prospect that we get 4 goals or more in the game.
