The third and final One Day International between New Zealand and Sri Lanka takes place in Nelson as Monday night turns into Tuesday morning and the Black Caps are bidding for a 3-0 clean sweep.
New Zealand won the series opener by 45 runs and they clinched the series with a 21 run victory at the weekend. The first 2 matches were staged at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui and they were both high scoring games.
In the first match New Zealand posted 371/1 and Sri Lanka made 326 in their reply. In the second match New Zealand also batted first and 90 from Ross Taylor and 87 from Colin Munro helped them to a total of 319/7. It could have been more were it not for 4 run outs but nonetheless Sri Lanka were once again set a big task. At 128/7 in the visitors reply the game looked set for an early finish but Thisara Perera smashed 140 of just 75 balls including all 13 of his sides maximums. Unfortunately for Sri Lanka Perera was out before the finish and their innings closed on 298 all out after 46.2 overs, just 21 short.
The teams now move on to Nelson for this final contest before a one off T20 takes place in Auckland on Friday.

Suggested Bet: Highest Individual Score, over 104.5 runs at 17./20
This is a different venue for the final match but we have seen centurions on both sides earlier in the series and we fancy any batsman to score 105 runs or more.
