Pakistan and New Zealand move on to Dubai for the third and final ODI on Sunday and the winner here will claim the series.
Pakistan lost the first ODI 47 runs at Abu Dhabi but they levelled things up at the same venue on Friday with a more than comfortable 6 wicket victory.
In both matches so far New Zealand have won the toss and opted to bat but whereas in the first ODI they posted a total of 266/9, Friday’s match saw them fall much shorter at 209/9. Ross Taylor has been in great form, scoring 80 in the series opener and he was unbeaten on 86 in the second match but support was thin on the ground and Pakistan were in no mood to surrender the series. Shaheen Afridi was top Pakistan bowler, taking another 4 wickets to make it 8 in total for the series.
Opener Fakhar Zaman was the backbone of the Pakistan reply. He made 88 and with number 3 bat Babar Azan adding another 46, the writing was on the wall a long way before victory was officially secured in 40.3 overs. Lockie Ferguson took 3 wickets but his side were largely outplayed. Trent Boult became the third New Zealander to take an ODI a hat-trick in the first match but he went without a wicket on Friday and his 10 overs cost 60 runs.
Head to Head

Suggested Bets: A 100 To Be Scored in the Match? (yes) at 11/10
We haven’t seen a century in the series so far but with plenty riding on this we fancy a batsmen from either side to make it to 3 figures.
