Pakistan v New Zealand, 3rd T20 Preview


The third and final T20 international between Pakistan and New Zealand takes place in Dubai on Sunday and Pakistan are already assured of yet another series win

Pakistan are the form team in World T20 cricket right now and on Friday they claimed this series with a 6 wicket victory at this venue. The Black Caps batted first and posted 153/7 with Colin Munro making 44 and Corey Anderson was unbeaten on the same score when the innings closed. Shaheen Afridi with 3/20 was the pick of the Pakistan bowlers and New Zealand hit 5 maximums.

Pakistan made a swift start to the chase, adding 40 for the first stick in 4.4 overs. Babar Azam went on to top score with 40, Asif Ali made 38 and when the required rate started to climb Hafeez (34 not out) took responsibility to get Pakistan over the line with 2 balls remaining. Pakistan hit 6 maximums and Mile took 2 wickets for New Zealand although his 2.4 overs went for 25 runs.

Earlier in the series Pakistan took the series opener but it was mighty close with the Black Caps coming up just 2 runs short when chasing 149 for victory in Abu Dhabi.
