Golden Arrows v Bidvest Wits– click here to bet

Arrows lost 2-1 at home to Amazulu in their latest league outing and they finished the round with only four teams below them in the standings. An excellent start to the campaign has been followed by a run of just 1 win in the last 15 and although there are a number of draws in that sequence, if the slide continues they could yet be sucked into a relegation battle. Their only recent victory did arrive in a home game, 1-0 over Supersport.

Wits are a point behind Arrows in the standings but their form is improving with 3 wins and 2 draws in the last 5 league games. The Clever Boys are unbeaten in their last 5 road trips including wins at Baroka (1-0) and Supersport (4-1).

Arrows won the first league meeting 3-1 back in September but Wits did edge an earlier MTN8 tie on penalty kicks (2-2 aet).

Golden Arrows 19/10

Wits 31/20

Wits are in the better form but Arrows are no strangers to finishing all square and 1-1 is our play here.

Both these sides are locked together on 31 points, 7 shy of league leaders Sundowns. Chiefs were successful at home to Arrows in the cup last week, running out 3-0 winners but their league form is littered with draws with 10 of 20 having finished all square. Chiefs are unbeaten in their last 7 league outings (4 wins, 3 draws) but their home record comprises of 2 wins, 5 draws and 2 defeats, the fourth worst in the top flight.

City also won their Nedbank Cup tie, 1-0 at Wits, and they return to league action for the first time since they went down 1-0 at home to Sundowns on 2nd February.  They have won 4 of 10 road trips, drawing 3 and losing 3 and they now look to take revenge on Chiefs who ran out 2-0 winners when the teams met in the Mother City earlier in the season.

Chiefs 23/20

Draw 39/20

Cape Town City 26/10

Suggested bet: Chiefs clean sheet? (yes) at 13/10

Goalkeeper Khune was again in superb form last week, pulling off a number of outstanding saves in the cup win over Arrows and he get’s our vote to keep another clean sheet.
