PSL Preview, 16 and 17 March

We take a look at the 2 live Absa Premier League matches taking place over the weekend and suggest a bet in each game.

Free State Stars v AmaZulu – click here to bet

Free State Stars have only taken 2 points from the last 9 they have played for and they currently sit 14th on the table hovering just outside the relegation zone.  They have only won 3 of 12 home matches this season and 5 of their 12 home games have had 3 goals or more in them.  AmaZulu are 11th on the table, 5 points ahead of Free State Stars despite the 6 point deduction.  They beat title contender, Wits 2-0 at home last time out but have lost their 2 away games although did score on each occasion.

Suggested bet:  The draw at 19/10

AmaZulu won the reverse fixture 2-1 at home, but when Free State Stars host AmaZulu the draw is a common theme and has arrived in the last 3 meetings between the sides.

Chippa United v Highlands Parkclick here to bet

Chippa are currently 15th on the table and they have only won 1 of their last 5 matches, most recently going down 3-2 away at Black Leopards.  Their recent home form has been poor with just 1 win in their last 5 starts.  Highlands are 9th on the table after a 2-1 win over Baroka at home last time out.  They have only won 1 of 12 away matches, but have drawn 7 and Highlands away games average just over 2 goals each.

Suggested bet:  The draw at 37/20

The PSL fixtures this weekend look very evenly matched and whilst studying all the markets, I keep finding myself coming back to the draw which I think is going to be a big runner in this game.
