Bafana Bafana are in AFCON qualifier action again on Tuesday night, it’s a return meeting with the Seychelles whom they thrashed 6-0 at the weekend but this time Bafana do the traveling.
Seychelles v South Africa
After the third round of matches Bafana top the group, undefeated with 7 points. Nigeria are second with 6 points and Libya third with 4 whilst the Seychelles have lost all of their matches so far and they have looked every inch the group’s whipping boys.
South Africa scored 3 goals in each half when these teams met at Soccer City on Saturday. An own goal gave them the lead and 5 different players subsequently found the net whilst goalkeeper Khune had a quiet afternoon in keeping a clean sheet.
As far as qualification is concerned Bafana still have work to do and this remains a must win game with Nigeria due in SA for the next qualifier followed by an awkward away fixture against Libya. With 2 going through to the finals it’s very much in Bafana’s hands and 3 clean sheets in 3 qualifiers bodes well. The strikers, including Percy Tau were also amongst the goals at the weekend as Bafana put a poor showing at home to Libya last month behind them. That Libya game ended 0-0 and Bafana’s only away fixture so far saw them upset the Super Eagles with a 2-0 victory.
The Seychelles lost their only home fixture in this group 3-0 to Nigeria and their only goal so far came in a 5-1 defeat against Libya.

Suggested bet: European Handicaps, South Africa -2 goals at 15/20
Bafana need to remain focused as anything other than victory here would set up a tense finish to the race to qualify but they were dominant at the weekend and ought to win this by 3 clear goals (3-0, 4-1 etc..)
