A round up of the betting for the major sporting events taking place on Monday 10th June including Cricket World Cup, Euro 2020 Qualifiers and Women’s World Cup football and South African horse racing.
Cricket World Cup
Monday’s Cricket World Cup action comes from Southampton where the Proteas bid to open their win account at the fourth time asking against West Indies.
We have a full match preview available on this link where we fancy a 1st Innings Score of over 295.5 runs at 9/10 and Kagiso Rabada to be the best of an injury hit Proteas bowing unit. The match result betting suggests we could be in for a nailbiter with the Proteas desperate to end their 3 match losing sequence whilst the Windies started their campaign with a win over a Pakistan and a loss to Australia. Click here to bet on South Africa v West Indies.
Qualifying for Euro 2020 continues with 4 games televised live on Monday including Spain v Sweden. These 2 nations are unbeaten in Group F where Spain have won all 3 of their matches whilst Sweden have 2 wins and 1 draw. Spain were 4-1 winners away to the Faroe Islands last week whilst Sweden completed a routine 3-0 home win over Malta.
Spain are currently 3/10 favourites to win the game with the draw at 17/4 and Sweden can be backed at 37/4. We should see goals but perhaps not a deluge as Sweden bid to keep it tight and 2-3 goals in total at 19/20 would cover a number of scorelines which can be envisaged here. The Women’s World Cup group stage continues in France and Monday’s matches see Argentina take on Japan before Canada meet Cameroon.
The AFCON 2019 finals are just around the corner and ahead of the first game on 21st June we have an outright promotion to take advantage of.
Below we have the latest betting to win the tournament, focusing on the market leaders whilst Bafana Bafana can currently be backed at odds of 33/1.
Ivory Coast 10/1
14/1 and better the rest.
Local horse racing on Saturday sees a 9 race card at Flamingo Park get underway at 12:20.
Last weekend’s features in KZN led to a shake up in the betting for the Durban July with the Ante Post market now looking like this.
Do It Again 33/10
Rainbow Bridge 6/1
Twist Of Fate 14/1
Magnificent Seven 16/1
28/1 and better the rest
Cycling, Criterium du Dauphine ’19
Many of the big favourites for this year’s Tour de France including Chris Froome are continuing their preparations at the Criterium du Dauphine. Stage 2 takes place on Monday and there are 8 categorized climbs on a 180km route. The really high mountains come later in the week but this will be an opportunity to see which of the heads of state have good legs and live coverage is available on Supersport for the later part of the stage.
Follow our betting diary through the week where we will also be building up to the US Open Golf at Pebble Beach and the final round of the Super Rugby regular season.
Note, all odds quoted are subject to change.
Have a great day punting.
