Motorland Aragon in Alcaniz plays host to the Aragon MotoGP on Sunday 23 September and we take a look at the race from a betting angle.
Andrea Dovizioso was the victor in the San Marino MotoGP at Misano a fortnight ago with Marc Marquez and his team mate Cal Crutchlow taking 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
With this win Dovizioso moves up from fourth to second spot in the Drivers’ Championship Standings but Marquez is still well out in front with a 67 point lead and he is a 1/200 shot for the title.
Marc Marquez 221
Andrea Dovizioso 154
Valentino Rossi 151
Jorge Lorenzo 130

It was a far from smooth race for Marc Marquez who started in fifth but fought his way through the field to top the podium at the Aragon MotoGP last year. His team mate Dani Pedrosa was runner-up and 3rd place went to Jorge Lorenzo making it an all-Spanish trio.
Suggested Bet: Lorenzo win at 18/10
I think the bookies are spot on with their betting as Marquez and Lorenzo have won the last 5 GP’s at this track. Marquez can afford to ride conservatively to win the title and I like Lorenzo this week in the knowledge that the 2nd place money back promo applies – see banner below.
