The venue for the British MotoGP this weekend is the Silverstone Circuit and we take a look at the race from a betting perspective.
A fortnight ago in the Austrian MotoGP, Jorge Lorenzo celebrated his 3rd win of the season when he defeated his future Honda squad team-mate Marc Marquez in a thrilling race. Lorenzo’s present team-mate, Andrea Dovizioso completed the trio on the podium.
Marc Marquez now leads Valentino Rossi in the Drivers’ Championship Standings by 59 points and bookmakers have almost closed up shop and are offering a 2% return on his chances.
Marc Marquez 201

It was Andrea Dovizioso’s 4th win of the season when he crossed the line in first position at the 2017 British MotoGP. Maverick Vinales took runner-up spot with Valentino Rossi settling for 3rd after being passed by Dovizioso and Vinales. Marquez pulled off with engine failure for a rare DNF.
Suggested Bet: Vinales win at 12/1
The last 5 runnings of this race have had 5 different winners from 4 different constructors with only Yamaha winning twice. This has me looking further down the betting boards as I am expecting an open race and will go with Vinales who does enjoy the track having won in 2016 and finishing a close up 2nd last year.
Prices correct at time of posting but will fluctuate in the lead up to the race
