The Dubai Desert Classic 2019, Outright Preview

The Majlis Course at The Emirates Golf Club in Dubai is the venue for this weeks European Tour event which we take a look at from a betting angle.

The Majlis course is a par 72 and length off the tee is a big advantage here. Accuracy from the tee is less important but finding the Greens in Regulation is a big plus especially when the wind blows as it can at this venue.

Bryson Dechambeau heads the betting at 10/1 with 2017 Champion, Sergio Garcia, Tommy Fleetwood and Louis Oosthuizen all priced at 14/1.

Louis Oosthuizen 14/1

Henrik Stenson 16/1

Rafa Cabrera Belllo 20/1

25/1 and better the balance, prices correct at the time of posting but are subject to change

Andy Sullivan each way at 50/1

Sullivan started his year with a solid Top 35 performance last week and has excellent course form here with 3 finishes in the top 6 in his last 4 starts.

Jordan Smith each way at 66/1

Smith was in the Top 25 here on debut 2 years ago but did miss the cut last year. He caught the eye with a strong showing last week finishing just outside the Top 10 and also finished 2018 in impressive fashion.

Tommy Fleetwood each way at 14/1

Fleetwood loves playing in the desert and he was 6th here in 2018.  He made a slow start to his season finishing 42nd last week but I am expecting a big run this week as his game shakes off the rust.

Scott Jamieson each way at 110/1

Jamieson was an impressive T11 last week and he also finished 2018 in good form.  He hasn’t done much at the course since a Top 5 a few years back but at the price we can’t do too much damage
