Tour de France 2018 Stage 18 Preview

After a decisive stage in the high mountains the peloton returns to flat terrain for Stage 18 of Tour de France, a 171km trek from Trie sur Baïse to Pau on Thursday

Race Update:

Stage 17 was always going to cause a major shake up in the GC and so it proved. Nairo Quintana won ahead of Dan Martin and Geraint Thomas was third. Froome lost time and Thomas is now clearly the man Team Sky are looking to for the overall win.

In the GC Thomas now leads Tom Dumoulin (+1:59) and Froome is third (2:31). Roglic is fourth (2:47) and Quintana has moved into the top 5 (3:30)

In the Points Classification Sagan has 452 points and Kristoff 170

The King of the Mountains competition sees Alaphilippe well clear on 140 points from Barguil on 73

Movistar are back in charge of the Team Classification, 24:20 up on Bahrain Merida

In addition to individual stage betting we have a number of outright markets available and you can view all the options here.

Stage Winner

Arnaud Demare 16/10

Peter Sagan 5/2

Alexander Kristoff 33/10

John Degenkolb 9/1

Magnus Cort Nielsen 12/1

Sonny Colbrelli 14/1

Edvald Boasson Hagen 18/1

20/1 and better the rest

Note, prices are correct at the time of writing but are subject to change.

The favourite Demare has been battling to stay within the elimination time in mountain stages whilst Sagan was involved in a crash on Wednesday.  That wouldn’t rule either out of a stage win and Kristoff has also been knocking on the door but it could pay to look a little further down the list with Magnus Cort Nielsen a lively contender at a nice price.

Suggested Bets: Magnus Cort Nielsen at 12/1
