The Springboks bring their end of year tour to a close when they take on the Welsh at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff in Saturday and we take a look at the game from a betting perspective.

Wales put up one of their better performances in recent years but were still beaten by 15 points by New Zealand at home last weekend. The Welsh were dominant in the first half but on the rare occasions that New Zealand were able to put them under pressure the All Blacks were able to capitalize. A second string Welsh side had previously edged Georgia by 7 points at home and Wales lost their opening match of the November Internationals 21-29 to Australia. Looking back to their 6 Nations campaign they beat Ireland at home and lost to England.
The Springboks have bounced back from their record 35 point loss to Ireland with a narrow 1 point win over France in Paris and a 29 point victory over Italy in terrible conditions last weekend.
Both sides are impacted by the end of the International Rugby window with players being released to return to their clubs and it can certainly be argued that neither side will be at full strength.
Wales have won their last 2 meetings at home to South Africa beating them 27-13 last year and 12-6 back in 2014. Prior to that South Africa had won 8 in a row dating back to the year 2000.
South Africa 8/10
Wales +1.5 at 9/10
South Africa -1.5 at 9/10
Suggested bet: Wales win at 11/10.
Wales really impressed me against the All Blacks and while South Africa were far too strong for Italy, the Italians have been absolutely woeful in recent times. This should be a close match as the betting suggests it will be, however I am a bit surprised to find the home team as underdogs and think the 11/10 that they win the game is decent value.
