The Springboks bring their end of the year International Tour to a close on Saturday when they take on the Welsh at the Principality Stadium and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.
Wales have won their last 8 test matches and last weekend a very much second string Wales side was far too strong for Tonga, winning 74-24. The week before they came out on top in a titanic struggle against Australia when they won 9-6 without either team scoring a try. They opened their November International campaign with a 21-10 home win over Scotland and they won all three of their home games in the Six Nations earlier this year. They will have to do without Leigh Halfpenny their deadly goal kicker and fullback who is injured.
South Africa beat Scotland 26-20 at Murrayfield last week to build on their 29-26 come from behind victory over France the week before. Their only defeat was a 12-11 reverse at Twickenham in early November, a game which they dominated for long periods.
Wales broke years of South African dominance in 2014 when they beat them 12-6 at home, since then they have won 27-13 in 2016 and 24-22 in 2017. The sides met earlier this season in the States with Wales winning 22-20.

South Africa 9/10
Wales +0.5 at 9/10
South Africa -0.5 at 9/10
Suggested bet: Wales win at 1/1.
South Africa opened marginal favourites but there has been some support for the Welsh this week with the game now basically a choice affair. I think South Africa have had a good tour but the Welsh are playing well and I believe the freshness of being able to rest key players last week will count in their favour.
