The second test match between West Indies and Sri Lanka gets underway in St Lucia on Thursday and the Windies are 1-0 up with two to play.
The match result betting for the first test in Trinidad had a fairly balanced look to it but West Indies came through with a comprehensive 226 run win.
Batting first the home side were in trouble after losing both openers early doors but they steadied the ship and an unbeaten 125 from wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich was the highlight of a first innings total of 414/8 declared. West Indies bowlers then came to the party, bowling Sri Lanka out for just 185 with Chandimal’s 44 being the visitors top score.
West Indies then batted Sri Lanka out of the game with Kieran Powell top scoring with 88 in their second innings total of 223/7. It was a case of whether or not Sri Lanka could somehow hold out for a draw but despite 102 from Kusal Mendis at the top of the order, there was little other resistance and Sri Lanka were all out for 226.
West Indies now have the opportunity to close out a rare series win before the sides head to Barbados for the third and final test.
