Wits continued to battle in the PSL and the defending champions currently sit rock bottom of the table after 11 matches.  They were in action this past weekend drawing 0-0 away at Maritzburg.  Winning the Telkom Cup would certainly take some pressure off coach Gavin Hunt and they booked their spot in the final with a 1-0 home win over Kaizer Chiefs in the last 4.  They had previously seen off Baroka at home by the same margin and Free State Stars, also at home, after extra time.

Bloemfontein Celtic are faring a bit better in the PSL and they are currently in 8th position after a 1-0 home defeat to Pirates on the weekend.  They required penalties to come through their semi-final away at Polokwane and also won 2-1 away at Platinum Stars in the last 8.  Their first round match was another penalties victory over SuperSport United at home.

Celtic won the last meeting between these sides, 1-0 at home in the League earlier this season and prior to that Wits had won 3 games in a row against Celtic.

Wits 11/10

Draw 18/10

Bloemfontein Celtic 3/1

Suggested bet:  European handicaps, draw (Wits -1) at 11/4.

This should be a typically tight South African final and for this bet to arrive I need Wits to win by exactly 1 goal, a result that would have arrived in both their quarter-final and semi-final matches.
