Good day and welcome to this week’s Best Bets!
This week I have managed to find some great value bets to consider and I’m confident there is profit to be made! Let’s get into it:
Rebels vs Chiefs
Form is temporary, class is permanent. The Chiefs will be fresh from their week off, and despite a disappointing season thus far, they know that they have the quality to win. They will go to AAMI Park with only victory in mind… After last week’s 66-0 drilling at the hands of the Crusaders, the Rebels seem tired, and the primary objective for them will be to save face. I like the Chiefs for an outright win at 19/20.
Brumbies vs Reds
Be it at home or away, the Brumbies seem to be racking up win after win. The reds on the other hand are lying 2nd from the bottom in the overall standings and are only playing for pride. Using their home advantage and the momentum that they are carrying with them, the Brumbies at -7.5 at 9/10 seems like a great bet at this point.
South Africa vs Afghanistan
The Proteas have not have a great start to the World Cup but will have everything to play for. It’s hard to find value when a match is expected to be a one-sided affair but our Batting line up are going to come onto the pitch with allot to prove and Big Hitter De Kock will have allot of responsibility on his shoulders… against the less than stellar Afghanistan bowlers, my bet for this game is De kock to score more than 57.5 runs currently at 9/10.
My last bet for the weekend is on the US open taking place at the often-dreaded Pebble beach in California and the worlds best are all in attendance. This links is known for guzzling winds and small protected greens that demand a calm temperament and accurate short game. Rory, Koepka and Dustin are share favourites at 9/1 with Tiger right behind them at 12/1. Finding the winner amongst so many in form players and on course where so much can go wrong is not an easy task. My bets for this week will therefore be on players to finish top 10. My selections are:
Web is a past winner here and was in the top 10 last year. He has 4 top 10s this season and tied for 2nd last week helped along by finishing top in putting stats for the weekend. This statistic could be the advantage he needs for the Pebble Beach greens. Web is currently 4/1 to finish top 10 and 50/1 to win at WSB
Shane shared the 2nd position with Web Simpson last week and is on a clear upswing. He has the short game needed to navigate Pebble Beach and if he is confident deserves some serious attention going into the US open. Shane currently pays 11/2 for a top 10 finish and 70/1 for the win at WSB.
Si Woo Kim
A true outside coming into the US open, Kim was right there in the Pro-am at Pebble beach earlier in the year and finished an impressive 4th. HE has managed a respectable 3 top 10 finishes this season and his temperament on the course will be a huge advantage after 4 days of hard golf. He is paying a massive 12/1 to finish top 10 this weekend at 175/1 for the win!
Good luck to anyone following this week!
