Snowdance tops the betting boards and has plenty going for her. Justin Snaith’s filly has won 2 of her 3 outings, all at Kenilworth, although she has yet to tackle the 1600m. She was second to Elusive Heart in the first of 2 runs as a 3yo but the manner of her latest win with Magical Wonderland 4.25 lengths back was hugely impressive.
Magical Wonderland won her first 4 races before bumping Snowdance last time out. She also takes on the 1600m for the first time and is handily drawn at 4 with Aldo Domeyer in the saddle for the Bass-Robinson yard.
Dennis Drier’s Lady in Black was seventh to Snowdance on her first start in the Cape but she is proven over 1600m and is another drawn well at 5.
Eastern Cape visitor Via Seattle has 4 wins from 7 runs and finished strongly over 1400m to win last time out.
Mike de Kock is represented by Silver Thursday who should be distance suited although the draw (12) could have kinder.
Love Supreme has 2 wins from 3 runs but takes a big step up in class.
Suggested Bet: Snowdance to win
Although the distance is perhaps a slight concern Snowdance looks hard to oppose and we go with the favourite to oblige. Don’t forget our Fillies Guineas promotion below.
